Ginger, LuAnn, and Yikes!

My mom and I have taking advantage of the beautiful weather by spending a lot of time at my super-secret dog park with some of my friends.

LuAnn, one of my doggie friends, is a super cutie!
Her humans named her after Countess LuAnn from BRAVO TV's show The Real Housewives of New York City.

One of my human friends named Karen owns a Hairless Chinese Crested named Isaac.
Isaac's nickname is Yikes. If you take off Isaac's coat, everyone screams, yikes! because he doesn't have any hair!

Another one of my good friends is Ginger.
Ginger is half Doberman-half German Shephard. She moved with her human to Baltimore from LasVegas over the winter. She loves to play ball!

I, on the other hand, love to eat sticks.
Once my Mom peeled all of the bark off of the stick, she let me chew on it all I wanted.

Super-secret dog park

My mom found a super-secret dog park where I can play with my mom and my other puppy friends in the city.
It's not very big, but it's great to wrestle with my friends, chase balls, and play frisbee.
Sometimes my dad comes to the park with my mom and I.
(throw it, dad!!!)

Going to the park is my favorite part of the day.
(getting an afternoon drink with my friends Murray and Olive)

I love spending time with my friends.

Chapter One

I have a lot of pictures and stories to share. Because my mom and dad have exams over the next few weeks, I'm going to share my stories in parts. Ok, here we go . . .

CHAPTER ONE

Once upon a time, there was a very beautiful and amazingly talented Vizsla princess (that's me!).

One day, she told her humans that she wanted to go for a trip to the country.
We drove through fields . . .
and forests . . .
I love looking out the window at the beautiful scenery as we pass by.
The yummy country air . . .
The wind on my teeth . . .
After a little bit, my mom closed the windows because she didn't want the air to hurt my eyes. It was ok, though, because we were almost there.

Where were we, do you ask?

Laila'lympics

Every year, on the last day of the season, the local Riverside Pool opens its doors to the puppies of Federal Hill and Riverside. All of the neighborhood dogs train for weeks before this big event. I had some private training sessions in Outer Banks, so I was fully prepared for the challenge.

My competition:

The whole city came out to watch us swim.

I put down my shoes to get ready for the big race.

On your mark, get set . . . BLAM!

Everyone said I had a perfect entry into the water.

At the halfway point, I was in the lead followed closely by Lexi. Everyone wondered "Will she make it? Will Laila beat the Baltimore Record?
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

And the answer is "YES! LAILA WINS!"

I've decided that my new name should be "Laila Phelps!"

This is me right after I won the gold medal. My mom was so proud!

I need to put this in a safe place so that it doesn't float away. Maybe I'll put it with my other gold medals from sports such as snuggling, couch jumping, digging, gymnastics floor exercises, contortion, diving, ball catching, rolling in dead birds, running, and cupcake eating. I do love cupcakes. And hey, if Michael Phelps can eat 12,000 calories a day, I don't thing a little thing like eating two dozen cupcakes is going to hurt my perfect little figure.

But before I could put it away, the paparazi wanted to snap a few pictures of my magnificent self. I indulged them, of course. Who am I to deny my fans?

After the pictures, I took one of my old bronze medals out for a few laps around the pool. I have so many medals, that I don't mind sharing this one with a few of my friends.
