Here are some pictures of my visit:
Ummm . . . Hello!?! Is anyone going to help me get into the pool?

Get ready . . . get set . . . Jump!

Okay, one - two - three . . .
. . . and I'm off! I'm swimming! I'm actually swimming! This is fun!

Jason promised that he would teach me how to surf like my brother Seamus. He told Hannah and I that we had to sit still and wait for a wave. I waited and then - "Hannah, Hannah – I think I see one!"

Hannah said that she didn't see a wave. Then she said "Laila, look - are those fish?" I didn't see any fish, but Hannah dove off the raft.

I stayed on the surfboard to see if I could surf. And I almost did . . .
. . . until I wiped out.

My dad told me to try again, so I got on the surfboard from the side of the pool this time. . .

Ok. I'll admit that I was a little shaky, but . . . I stayed up!

I still can't believe that I actually surfed!!!!!

This was the BEST DAY EVER!
You are a very regal-looking surfer, Miss Laila!

Hang 10 Baby! You're ready for the Big Island's of Hawaii!!!
ReplyDeletehow fun! Zoe has an "island" float. I'll have to try one of those bigger ones...I didn't know it would support he weight.
ReplyDeleteTHe one she has/had now is a sling type, so she can swim in and swim out of it.
wow that pool looks sooo cool. I have to go in the rough cold sea if i want to swim, although the waves are bigger for surfing in the sea.
